Smith's men were dominant against an injury-hit Pakistan side |
Seamer Charl Langeveldt won a place in a strong party featuring four leading all-rounders, Jacques Kallis, Shaun Pollock, Andrew Hall and Justin Kemp.
The Proteas, twice semi-finalists in the World Cup, sealed a 3-1 one-day series triumph over Pakistan with a nine-wicket victory on Wednesday.
Skipper Graeme Smith said: "Confidence within the set-up is extremely high."
Smith was delighted the selectors had retained the squad that had comprehensively defeated the talented Pakistan side.
"We have worked together to make a formidable team over the last 18 months and everyone knows what their specific responsibilities are within the team," he said.
"We back each other and we will go out and give our best for our country.
"The success has been important for us. We believe in ourselves and it bodes well for a World Cup final place."
Veteran all-rounder Shaun Pollock is also confident of his team's prospects of triumphing following a run of 13 wins in 17 one-day internationals.
The 33-year-old was named man of the series after taking nine wickets, including five in Johannesburg on Wednesday.
"We finished on a high note and we're going to head off to the World Cup with a lot of confidence.
"All credit to the team. The bowlers have been superb throughout. If we can continue with that and the batting form we've shown it will be great," Pollock said.
