The inaugural ICC World Cricket League has been hailed as an "outstanding" success by the game's governing body.
It was set up to give the six associate member teams who will be playing at the World Cup extra competitive practice.
ICC global development manager Matthew Kennedy praised the "dedication and desire" shown by the players in Kenya.
"You now have the opportunity to shake up the world of one-day cricket and you should face that challenge with confidence and enthusiam," he said.
Hosts Kenya and Scotland will meet in Wednesday's final after finishing as the top two teams in the league, which also involved Ireland, the Netherlands, Canada and Bermuda.
And Kennedy paid tribute to Cricket Kenya for the way the tournament had been organised.
"The tight results, the progression, the learning, the team performances and the individual heroics we've seen within it go to show just how hard the players have worked and how far they have come.
"Cricket in Kenya has made some great strides in the past 18 months and the eyes of the cricketing world have certainly been on Nairobi over the past week or so.
"The organisers have pulled out all the stops, despite several challenges, to be superb hosts," he said.
