Live Scores-SA in charge despite Yousuf knock

Third Test, Cape Town, day one (tea): South Africa v Pakistan 157 Here are the Live Scores.
South Africa skittled Pakistan for 157 on day one of the deciding third Test in Cape Town despite a brilliant innings of 83 from Mohammad Yousuf.

Makhaya Ntini and Jacques Kallis took four wickets each to rip the tourists apart on a greenish Newlands surface.

Only two other batsmen made it into double figures but Yousuf smashed 10 fours and a six to lift the score.

He really opened his arms after his side had slumped to 90-6 and those late runs could yet prove significant.

Pakistan, who triumphed in the second Test to force a thrilling finale, were in trouble as soon as Proteas skipper Graeme Smith won an important toss.

Mohammad Hafeez and Yasir Hameed edged paceman Ntini to AB de Villiers and Kallis at third and second slip.

Imran Farhat, who survived a strong lbw shout and was dropped by de Villiers off Ntini, fended Kallis to first slip.

When Younis Khan chased a wide one from Kallis to de Villiers, it was 54-4 and much depended on Yousuf.

The prolific right-hander cracked Kallis over fine-leg for six and collected five boundaries off Andrew Hall in two overs after lunch, including some glorious cover drives.

But wickets continued to tumble at the other end.

Captain Inzamam-ul-Haq edged a Hall delivery that nipped away, while de Villiers claimed his third catch when Kamran Akmal pushed at Dale Steyn.

Mohammad Sami and Danish Kaneria were caught behind, while Shahid Nazir holed out to mid-wicket.

Yousuf's brave effort was ended when he was snaffled trying to heave Ntini away through the off-side.
