Live Scores-Younis & Akmal take Pakistan home

Second Test, Port Elizabeth, day four: Pakistan 265 & 191-5 beat South Africa 124 & 331 by five wickets.
Here are the Live Scores.

Younis Khan and Kamran Akmal were Pakistan's heroes as the tourists won only their second ever Test in South Afica to level the series at 1-1.

They began the fourth day on 8-0 after being set a target of 191 but were in trouble soon after lunch at 92-5.
However South Africa's attack lost its penetration on a flat wicket and Younis (67no) and Akmal (57no) buckled down to take the hosts past the winning post.

The deciding third Test of the series begins in Cape Town on 26 January.

South Africa were on top early in the morning session on as Pakistan nervously slumped to 48-3.

Opener Imran Farhat flailed wildly at Makhaya Ntini and was caught at slip.

"It is the biggest win for me as captain"

Inzamam-ul-Haq

Yasir Hameed was then run out by Andre Nel attempting a single to extra cover, before Mohammad Hafeez fell lbw to Shaun Pollock to leave them on 48-3.

The decision by Peter Parker looked a harsh one, but Pakistan had no time to reflect on any perceived injustice.

It was then left to experienced pair Younis (20) and Mohammad Yousuf (12) to steer the tourists to lunch without further alarm.

Even so, a further crazy run almost led to the downfall of Younis, who survived after a close decision was referred to the third umpire.

South Africa roared back after lunch.

Cramped for room, Yousuf edged Pollock to gully and Inzamam-ul-Haq was ajudged lbw to Ntini.

Again, luck was on the hosts' side with replays showing the Pakistan captain was hit outside the line of off-stump.

From that point on, Pakistan's batsmen received any element of fortune going.

Younis' played a wonderfully patient, error-free innings, but Akmal flirted dangerously outside the off-stump and a number of nicks just evaded the slips and gully fieldsmen.

In the end, the winning hit came from Younis, steering spinner Paul Harris into space on the leg-side five minutes before tea.
