Hair to officiate in county matches

Controversial Australian umpire Australian umpire Darrell Hair will officiate in two minor counties’ matches in England next domestic season.
Hair, who was sacked from the International Cricket Council (ICC) Elite Panel of Umpires last November over his role in the Oval Test fiasco, will stand in the two games in addition to his duties as a member of the England and Wales Cricket Board’s (ECB) reserve list.
According to details, the Australian will umpire the games between Lincolnshire and Bedfordshire at Cleethorpes on July 22-24 and Norfolk v Lincolnshire at Manor Park, near Norwich, on August 7-8.
Hair was removed from the Elite Panel on the demand of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) which was infuriated over his false ball tampering charge against their team in The Oval Test last August.
The Pakistan team protested against the charge and later became the first team in Test history to officially forfeit a Test.
The ICC later cleared Pakistan of ball tampering allegations after an inquiry but banned captain Inzamam-ul-Haq for four matches for bringing the game into disrepute.
