Sri lankan cricket board has refused Pakistan's tour due security concerns in the country. A Sri Lankan cricket board official told media today.

Sri lanka is currently visiting England where they will kick off their first test match between Sri lanka vs England from 26th May.

The Pakistan Cricket Board had invited Sri Lankan cricket board for a series but the latter refused due to security concers in Pakistan. Pakistan has not hosted any International series since 2009 when gunmen attacked the Sri Lanka team bus in Lahore, killing seven people.

In three matches since Tillakaratne Dilshan's departure, Bangalore tried three different opening partners for Gayle, all without much success. The latest move, to push AB de Villiers up the order, was the boldest, as it clusters Bangalore's 3 finest batsmen at the top, and leaves the middle order looking inexperienced.

If they do stick with de Villiers up the order, Luke Pomersbach is fairly thrown away as a 4 . foreign player. They could take the place of him with either Asad Pathan or Arun Karthik, and get in Charl Langeveldt, who took five wickets in the two to three opportunity he was given, in spot of Abhimanyu Mithun. Vettori also encouraged after the current game that Bangalore may draw in spinner J Syed Mohammad in place of a batsman if the review looks like it will turn.

Chennai have not transformed their XI in their former four games, but may give some thought to a number of of tactics after the knocking they were handed in Bangalore. Albie Morkel has not displayed the wicket-taking capability he did in the 1st one half of the tournament, and with Chennai's batting line-up certainly long enough, Tim Southee is still an option

Pakistan in charge as batting comes through

Taufeeq Umar sealed in on a century as Pakistan constructed a strong lead on the 3rd day of the 2nd Test versus West Indies in St Kitts.

Pakistan sealed on 202-3, a lead of 251, as Taufeeq went to within three runs of a fifth Test ton.

At times, Taufeeq rode his luck as he directed Pakistan's charge at Warner Park.

The West Indies had battled through their tail but were finally terminated for 223 just before lunch time, passing the Greens a 49-run first innings guide.

The hosts began the morning on 184-8 with Kemar Roach and Ravi Rampaul heading strong.

The couple added in another 34 - and 60 in complete, the highest partnership of the match - before Roach left for 29.

Mohammad Hafeez as well as Taufeeq started out brilliantly with the latter looking specially amazing before lunchtime, reaching 39 not out from just 49 balls.

But Taufeeq was dropped twice before he achieved 13 and again on 94, as the West Indies contributed to their own desperate situation with a number of misfields.

Azhar Ali (53) made his second 1 / 2 century of the match, putting 76 with Taufeeq for the second wicket.

Pakistan will hope to wrap up the second Test any time play starts on Monday.

Sri Lanka has won the tour opener of their England tour against the Middlesex, captained by English batsmen Andrew strauss.

Sri Lanka beat an under-strength Middlesex side by four wickets on Monday, their determination to play the Sri Lankan way overcoming a chaotic start to a tour beset by absentees and late arrivals.

“We are not here to lose or even to do things the English way,” Stuart Law, Sri Lanka’s Australian coach said afterwards.

“We’re here to play cricket the way Sri Lanka play cricket and if we do we’ll be successful.”

That style of aggressive cricket enabled them to trounce England in Colombo during the quarter-final of the World Cup.
